Gabonese Republic

After 55 years of the totally corrupt dictatorship by one family - the Gabonese Republic - just might be on its way into the world community as a democratic republic.

To have awakened on August 30 2023 to the news that the corrupt Bongo regime (the originator, Omar Bongo) and his son Ali Bongo were no longer, it made for a grand day.

Ali Bongo was removed from power by his cousin - Brice Oligui Nguema - who has put his own name in the hat for the presidency (a single 7 year term) should be greeted with jubilation by every citizen in Gabon and every black person the world over.  

Interim President of the Gabonese Republic, Brice Oligui Nguema speaks at the 79th session of the United Nations.

Interim President Nguema will stand as a candidate for the presidency in the April 12, 2025 election.
